Warsaw in our bag

Also, in this square you can find people who sell their own pictures so it’s a good opportunity to buy an original souvenir.

The main place to visit in Warsaw is Old Town. You can use tram or bus to get arrive there and the name of the stop is Stare Miasto. In Old Town there are two squares connected by old stone streets and colorful houses that make the place very nice and romantic to walk with your couple.

Moreover, there are horse carts and you can pay for a tour with a horsecart. It’s another way to enjoy the city. Sometimes there are shows, artists who play with fire, dance, play music or they just make people laugh and protests of course polish people make protest at this square.

Warsaw bishop said "three naked woman can not stand infront of the holy church'' square. Cause of warsaw bishop's command these 3 women statues removed from Kajienski square  to behind of the square.

Moreover in the city centre (name of the stops is Centrum) is situated the train station where you can take trains to go to Krakow, Berlin, Wien or Budapest. Also there are a lot of known shops (Zara, C&A, H&M), a big shopping centre, fast food restaurants and little kebab stands (fake Turkish kebab)so after party, if you are hungry and it’s cold, the best option is eat a hot kebab. We love this part of the city because there are too many things to do; there is not chance to be bored.

This group of musicians welcomes people in the neighborhood of Praga (we are still in Poland, not in Czech Republic). If you have time, we suggest u to go here because you can find curious places, for example the National Stadium of Warsaw. National Football teams like Portugal, Germany or Italy played in this stadium. If you are interested in it, check the website of the stadium the schedule and the days when it’s possible to visit it.

For us, this area of Warsaw is so cute because you can walk next to the river, eat a delicious piece of cake and drink a hot cup of coffee in a little nice café and you can take a fantastic panorama since a hot air balloon. We couldn’t do it because the weather was not good but we are sure that it’s an amazing experience. Moreover, the price is not very expensive (40zl=10 euros). In general the prices in this part of Warsaw are really cheap because it’s not in the centre, about 10 minutes away by tram. We have to warn that it’s not recommendable to go at night, especially for tourists. But don’t be afraid in the day time, my friends and i never had any problem.

If you want to get a beautiful sightseeing of the city, you can go up to the building next to the square and take fantastic photos. The entrance is only 4 zl (around 1 euro) and in our opinion, it’s worth to pay for it.

In the main old town square, you can find the famous mermaid who protects the city and the citizens. If you want to visit her sister, you need to go to Copenhagen. In this square there is different kind of restaurants: polish, Italian, café…
Don’t you know what food is traditional in Poland? PIEROGI, you cannot miss this word, cause Warsaw is like just Pierogi, Pierogi  is the main food.

But Warsaw is not just an old town. Next to old town, 15 minutes walking, you will find the modern part of city. It is easy to recognize because there is a building called “Palace of Culture and Science”, the highest building in Poland. Inside the palace, there are a cinema, a theatre, exhibition halls, a disco, bars and you can use an elevator (20zl = 5 euros(2013) ), go up and have really good sightseeing of the city. You can compare the old and new town and locate where the huge green parks are. We went at night because you can see all the buildings and the streets shinning, even if they are far away.
